I'm always bustling around commenting on other peoples' opinions, and I'm going to enjoy the chance to post my own. Under the very un-Canadian belief that the best place for opinions to be tested is in the marketplace of ideas, I welcome heated debate on any subject, with the explanation that "You are Stupid" is not an argument, and that I don't speak Whinese -- my ear plugs render me deaf to squalling, kicking and screaming or I would not be able to survive in any socialist country.
So here we go.
Even here in Kanukistan, where it is the knee-jerk response to everything that we ask "Will taking this action really hack off the Americans?" and if the answer is YES, full speed ahead, the MSM are beginning to face the undoubted truth that there really is a World War and yes, they do know where we are ... and no, we have no defences because we decided to dismantle them and use the money to line the pockets of the Nomenklatura or hand out to people we like. (The current Conservative government, so-called, was elected on their promise to remove the Goodies from those we don't like and hand them out to those we do. This is what socialists consider "conservative" in Kanukistan.) After flooding the airwaves with hordes of bawling, kicking, screaming 'evacuees' who have for the most part been living in Lebanon for five to fifteen years and hold Canadian passports as kind of an insurance policy, the local media have done their polling and have discovered that most of the country believe that (1) the 'evacuees' are a bunch of Big Girls Blouses and (2) they ought to pay their own way home. This is such a radical departure from the Khadr Principle, which led the Canadian government to not only welcome a self-declared terrorist family home to Canada, but issue them special passports and send special planes to pick them up -- all except the one currently incarcerated at Gitmo -- and give them time on the CBC, the Pravda of Canada, to rail against Canada. On this broadcast the Mother (Daddy was killed in a firefight against American troops in Afghanistan) said she hoped her remaining sons would be "martyrs" and that she hoped they would kill as many Jews as possible in the process. Don't look for any Israeli counterpoint. Letting Jews reply to this kind of provocation is "Hate Speech" in Canada.
This week the government announced that just because you have declared or been discovered to have membership in a known terrorist organization, that doesn't mean you will be placed on a "no-fly" list. The other day two Sri Lankans were taken off a flight to Toronto by the Americans because they were sneaking into Canada on false passports ... and this apparently led to an enormous and profitable operation in British Columbia where false passports and papers were manufactured.
Last week the second of our seventeen-member terror cell who planned to blow up the Toronto Stock Exchange (which happens to be next door to the high-rise where I work), who had the materials for three one-ton bombs and who planned to behead the Prime Minister, was released on bail. Our police force was very proud of the fact that when they arrested these seventeen MUSLIMS that they never used the word "Muslim" oncoe in their announcement that they had just saved the economy of Canada from being blown to smithereens.
Last night the Premier of Ontario was heard saying that the instant the 'evacuees' feet touched the ground, they would be given welfare, free health care, and a place to live, all on the backs of the Ontario taxpayer. Apparently Mr. McGuinty never studied the art of siege warfare, and he has no idea that when you are under siege and barely keeping your head above water, the last thing in the world you want to do is bring in 40,000 more grabbing hands and hungry mouths.
And believe it or not, with all this and much more going on around them, the governments of all provinces and the Feds to boot, continue their kicking, screaming and bawling that the United States has NO RIGHT to secure its borders against Canada and that they better not DARE even think of asking anybody who crosses into the United States any questions at all.
And still there are many people here who think the biggest problem that faces Canada today is homosexuality.
I am living in an insane asylum.
I know y'all in America have plenty to keep you busy right now, but you really ought to pay more attention to the tsunami that is gathering on your northern border. Because right now you have no defence against it, and you have no idea what will happen when you're flooded with 'evacuees' who are used to having everything handed to them and no idea about looking out for themselves.....
Life, as my Daddy frequently says, is a cabaret. I never expected to have a ringside seat at a spectacle like this.
